1. Information We Collect
This website is primarily a static blog with minimal data collection. The blog posts themselves require no personal information to read.
Chat Room: If you register for the public chat room, we collect and store your chosen username and a hashed version of your password. Chat messages you send are stored indefinitely. Your login credentials are stored locally in your browser.
Analytics: We collect anonymous usage data through PostHog to understand how visitors use the site. This data does not include personally identifiable information.
2. Local Storage
The chat feature uses your browser's local storage to remember your login session. You can clear this data at any time by logging out or clearing your browser's data.
3. Third-Party Services
This site uses the following third-party services:
- Convex - Backend database and real-time sync for the chat room
- Cloudflare Turnstile - Bot protection for chat registration and login
- Cloudflare Workers - Hosting platform that may collect standard web server logs
- PostHog - Anonymous analytics and usage tracking
These services have their own privacy policies governing the use of your information.
4. Data Security
Chat passwords are securely hashed before storage. We take reasonable measures to protect any data collected, but cannot guarantee absolute security over the internet. The chat room is intentionally public - assume anything you post can be read by anyone.
5. Your Rights
You can manage your chat messages through the chat interface. To request deletion of your data, including your account and all associated messages, please contact us via email.
6. Changes
This privacy policy may be updated at any time. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of any changes.
